SEATTLE - Alexander Hutton Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Domain Group by Maryland based Merkle for an undisclosed amount.

With operations in Seattle and Atlanta, The Domain Group is a direct response fundraising agency serving North American and European non-profit organizations. Some of Domain’s valued clients include The Salvation Army, America’s Second Harvest, British Heart Foundation and The Lance Armstrong Foundation.

The buyer, Merkle, is a database-marketing agency offering quantitative, innovative marketing strategies that maximize results and demonstrate return on investment. Merkle’s clients span a variety of industries and include leaders in financial services, catalog/retail, consumer packaged goods, travel and leisure, entertainment, and not-for-profit fundraising.

With the acquisition, Merkle will strengthen its capabilities and create one of the largest agencies for data-driven direct response fundraising.

Alexander Hutton initiated this transaction, assisted in the negotiations and acted as financial advisor to the Domain Group.
